On 17th December 2024, Deepshikha College organized a Health and Wellness Camp “Desh Ka Prakriti Parikshan Abhiyan” in collaboration with the National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA). The event aimed at promoting awareness of Ayurveda and its role in preventive healthcare. It emphasized the significance of understanding one’s unique body constitution (Prakriti) and adopting personalized lifestyle habits to maintain overall health.
The wellness camp, inspired by the national initiative launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, focused on encouraging the community to engage in nature-based health practices. NIA experts conducted personalized health screenings, offering guidance on managing physical and mental well-being, and preventing chronic diseases.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Prem Surana, Chairman, along with Dr. Anshu Surana, Vice-Chairman, Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Singh Shekhawat and experts from NIA, Dr. Rakesh Nagar from NIA who highlighted the initiative’s role in promoting holistic well-being and discussed the importance of Ayurveda in modern-day wellness.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, staff, and local residents, highlighting the growing interest in traditional health practices. This initiative aligns with the government’s mission to integrate Ayurveda into daily life, making preventive healthcare accessible and ensuring holistic wellness for all.
