The University of Technology in association with Regional College and Deepshikha Group organized 2 days live webinar on the topic ‘Be Future Leader-Post COVID-19’ on 3rd and 4th June 2020. The experts from the education sector shared their views on the digital transformation of the Indian education system post-COVID-19. Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sharma was the speaker on the first day and he was welcomed by the Prem Surana Sir (Chairman, UOT) and Dr. Anshu Surana Sir (Vice-President Deepshikha Kala Sansthan). All the experts in the live session unanimously accepted that those individuals who are technically trained and skilled can receive immense career opportunities post COVID-19 as technology played a great role in transforming the education and other sectors during lockdown times.

The webinar witnessed a large crowd of scholars including students and business persons. The response from the participants was overwhelming with more than 4500 registrations and thus, we can say that the webinar became one of the highly successful academic events on digital platforms. The keynote speaker in the webinar Dr. Ashwini Kumar Sharma is one of the highly learned educationists who is currently the Pro-Chancellor Vijaybhoomi University, Karjat, Mumbai since October 2017. He is also a leading technocrat who has exceptional managerial and administrative skills and is also the Ex-Director General (NIELIT –India) and Former Director (Technical) – Rajcomp Info Services Ltd. The topic of discussion for the webinar was ‘Opportunities in the Education System leading to Employment after COVID-19’. The session began at sharp 11 AM and as time passed, the discussion got very engaging.
In the webinar, participants also got a chance to resolve their queries, dilemmas, and confusions that had arisen due to ongoing Coronavirus pandemic conditions. The various sessions addressed by the experts provided essential knowledge about the education and job scenario after COVID-19. Thus, it was concluded that students and professionals should emphasize on developing their technical skills as the future will value professionals who are hands-on with technology. Thus, necessary efforts should be made to enhance the existing capabilities so that the skill gap can be reduced. In addition to this, we also started the live streaming of the webinar so that interested persons can join the webinar live. Thus, the session was very fruitful and it highlighted the importance of being technically skilled and upgrade so that future opportunities can be tapped post COVID-19.
